Time to Build Brands…Buying is Back

Recently at the Fall 2011 fashion tradeshows in Las Vegas, the buzz was all about whether buying was back—had the market recovered enough from the past few years, which had seen a major downturn in sales? Well…for the first time in a while, there was optimism at the shows—traffic was good, the vibe seemed positive, and people were writing orders. Fashion is certainly more fun in a good market! You could feel the difference walking the shows. The bigger companies seemed to be focused on getting bigger (having acquired new members to their families, or out there searching for new ones), and there were brand new faces on the scene taking the place of many that hadn’t fared through the hard times.
