Art class was always Andy’s favorite subject in school growing up. He would pass the time on long car trips with crayons, colored pencils, markers, and paper. At age 12, he hand-coded graphics in BASIC on his first computer (a Tandy 1000HX from Radio Shack, boasting 256 kilobytes of RAM). From that point on, he always knew that he wanted to investigate the intersection of art and technology. After receiving a bachelor’s degree in Art and Design from the School of Design at NC State, Andy branched out into 3D graphics, digital animation, video production and editing, as well as more traditional graphic design disciplines.
