Collaborative by NatureWe work to become an integrated part of your team and collaboration is an essential ingredient in our process. This comes with respect and appreciation for the input and work of the team, the customers, and other stakeholders.
Ready to Challenge the Status QuoInnovation requires curiosity and empathy. We believe in immersing ourselves in your business, your goals, and your opportunities, and then through a fresh perspective, move towards improvements by challenging pre-constructs and old ideas.
In Position for ChangeFor every project, we help teams evaluate the resources needed to accomplish their goals. A willingness and ability to take advantage of opportunities is key in successfully implementing the ideas that are produced in the Design Innovation process.
Putting People FirstAt BOLTGROUP, people are at the core of everything we do and we believe better profits and positive impacts on the planet come from putting people first. Our methodology is a people-centered one and works best when our clients agree on this fundamental idea.
Frequently Asked QuestionsWe're happy to discuss your unique needs, company, project, and goals when you are ready. In the meantime, here are some answers to questions we get more often.
Design Innovation is a people-centered process that helps senior executives address market challenges, solve critical business problems, and capitalize on groundbreaking opportunities. The process integrates design thinking methods with design execution across a wide range of disciplines.
We begin every relationship and project by gaining a thorough understanding of your unique situation. Our Design Innovation is always tailored to your specific problem, challenge, or opportunity.
We're happy to have a conversation to see if we're a good fit for helping you reach your goals. Our project sizes vary from full-service approaches that include deep research and strategy, through design, development, and testing, to implementation and support—to menu-driven approaches where we act as an extension of your in-house resources.
The design innovation process can be applied to business challenges across all industries. Our primary focus is within the product, brand, and service arena. We've partnered with brands ranging from consumer packaged goods, hardline and softline goods, commercial equipment, industrial equipment, medical equipment, furniture, and even service organizations (such as healthcare, banks, etc.).
We start with a fact finding meeting over the phone, virtually, or in person to gain an understanding of the challenge you're facing. We'll then provide an outline draft scope of work that describes what we feel is the appropriate approach to the problem and how to address the challenge. We continue through an iterative review process with you until we get the scope of work where it needs to be. Once the scope is approved by you, we'll exchange agreements and begin a thorough immersion with you and your direct team, which will officially kick off the project.
We are very collaborative with our clients throughout a project. Sometimes our team will work on their own while going through the creative process or conducting research. Oftentimes, our clients will participate in ethnography or qualitative research, or join collaborative design sessions with our team. Our methodology is a very iterative process, which is one of the hallmarks of design thinking. Collaboration and open communication with our clients throughout a project will fuel and encourage design innovation.
