The Charlotte-based design and innovation firm, BOLTGROUP, recently won two GOOD DESIGN awards for 2018. The GOOD DESIGN award, presented by the Chicago Athenaeum, is highly prestigious as it recognizes the most cutting-edge and inventive product and graphic design worldwide. The GOOD DESIGN awards are the world’s longest running design awards, founded in Chicago in 1950 by Eero Saarinen, Charles and Ray Eames, and Edgar Kaufmann Jr.

This year, BOLTGROUP was presented the GOOD DESIGN award for both the FuelBelt Helium Ergo and the Yaxtrax Summit out of a record number of submissions from the world’s leading innovators within the design industry. The Yaxtrax Summit is a wearable traction device designed for hiking, and the FuelBelt Helium Ergo is an ergonomically-designed, wearable hydration product for endurance runners. These two awards add to BOLTGROUP’s long list of previous design accolades from GOOD DESIGN and other international award programs.
