Senior Industrial Designer

We’re seeking a Senior Industrial Designer who will lead the design process for a variety of products and projects, from concept to implementation. You will collaborate with other designers, engineers, creative directors, project managers, clients and other stakeholders to develop products that are not only aesthetically pleasing but also functional and profitable. You will also serve as mentor and coach to junior designers on the team, helping to promote and teach the strategy, processes, and practices established by business and creative leadership.

Responsibilities: 

  • Conduct user and market research to identify product needs and opportunities 
  • Generate creative, innovative, and beautiful product concepts that align with our clients’ brand and objectives 
  • Create 3D models, study models, renderings, and prototypes to visualize and test product designs 
  • Lead design efforts for multiple projects with high levels of complexity and scope 
  • Act in a supporting role on other projects, contributing to deliverables and helping to ensure design excellence 
  • Lead or contribute to multiple design projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and meeting deadlines 
  • Collaborate with Creative Directors and Project Managers to define and communicate the strategy, vision, and methodology for projects 
  • Collaborate with engineers and other stakeholders to ensure designs are feasible and manufacturable 
  • Present design concepts to internal teams and clients for feedback and approval 
  • Provide leadership and guidance to junior designers, fostering a culture of creativity and collaboration 
  • Full time role with minimum 3 days/week on-site  

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Industrial Design 
  • 7+ years of experience in industrial design or a related field 
  • Proven track record of developing innovative and successful product designs 
  • Deep understanding of product design principles, including aesthetics, ergonomics, and functionality 
  • Expertise in 3D modeling software, such as SolidWorks or Rhino3D 
  • Strong sketching and rendering abilities 
  • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills 
  • Ability to mentor and guide junior designers 
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills 
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with a team 
  • Resilient, flexible, positive attitude 
  • Well organized with good time management skills 
  • Motivated to learn, build skills, and increase responsibility
