Paul joined BOLTGROUP’s product team in 2000, bringing with him a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Old Dominion University. Prior experience included working in an auto body collision shop.

In addition to years of hands-on experience, Paul has Certified Professional Certifications in Mechanical Design, Advanced Drawing Tools, and Advanced Sheet Metal. But he’ll be the first to tell you that nothing beats learning in the trenches. When Paul first started at BOLTGROUP, someone handed him a manual and told him to “learn ProE.” After a week or two of studious focus, he jumped into a project like he was a tried and true veteran, and continued to hone his skills from there. We like that about him. He also recalls a time about a year into his BOLT tenure when we acquired a new client that was using Solidworks – so he purchased a couple of seats of Solidworks and learned how to use the software on the fly. Turns out, we liked it so much that we adopted it as our primary CAD system. Paul might now have over 15 years of experience with Solidworks, but for him, nothing still beats the thrill of jumping into the deep end.
