BOLTGROUP, the Charlotte-based full-service design firm, recently won two prestigious International Design Excellence Awards (IDEA) from the Industrial Designers Society of America. The IDEA award program has a long history as the world’s most rigorous design award, with entries from around the globe judged by a rotating panel of leading designers. Over the years BOLTGROUP has won multiple Gold, Silver, and Bronze IDEA awards. This year the firm won for the design of the PlayCore Sensory Car Wash—an inclusive playground system designed for children of all abilities, and for the design strategy of Hunterlab Photospectrometers—a family of laboratory equipment products (see more at the links below). The IDEA award ceremony takes place at the virtual IDSA Conference on September 16, 2020.
